cURL Error: SSL certificate problem:certificate has expired

Hi,

I am updating one of our clients older websites & have updated all plugins & WordPress however when I tried to license x them I got an error: “cURL Error: SSL certificate problem:certificate has expired”.

I have manually updated x theme from 5.1 to 5.2.5 however I am reciving the same issue.

I had another development site on this staging environment yesterday & was working fine & was able to authenticate the license no problem. Also have not had SSL enabled on this domain

I will add login details below

Regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Can you try adding the code below in your child theme’s functions.php file

add_filter( 'https_ssl_verify', '__return_false' );

For more information kindly refer to the link below

Thanks

Hi Paul,

I went through the steps but it didnt work. I contacted my host who has advised the SSL certificate for community.theme.co has expired which suspects could be the issue here.

https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html#hostname=community.theme.co

Are you able to advise as I still have my ticket open with my host

Regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Can you provide us your Purchase code in Secure Note so we can test.

Thanks

Hi There,

You were using an older version of Cornerstone plugin so that our validation process did not go through. I have resolved it by updating Cornerstone and validated your site.

Thanks!

Hi,
