Hello. The Blogs (or in this case books) have a tagline/one sentence teaser and we’d like that to stand out in comparison to the regular overview text. We’ve tried to add styling via the manual excerpts box but it’s not working. < br > does work but nothing else is sticking. Is this possible?

Thank you for reching out to us. I believe it’s not possible because Excerpts doesn’t render any HTML tags, all HTML tags are stripped before returning the text. You can read this article https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/141125/allow-html-in-excerpt
