i have my developers working on my website and i just wanna make sure that 1 updating the website wordpress wont change the look of my site and 2 updating xtheme from 5.0.1 to 5,1 wont mess anything up visually…

The answer to both questions will be no it will not change the visual stuff. But there are many factors involved regarding your environment, 3rd party plugins, hosting service provider and … So if I were you I would first make a complete backup of my website before the update just in case.
