CSAI with Perplexity

I purchased CSAI but I’m not realizing that even after paying for the tool it appears I can do nothing with it if I don’t pay for API credits through 1 of the available services. I already pay for ChatGPT and Perplexity monthly but apparently this won’t work with CSAI because I have to get a separate API key which I believe means I have to fund the available budget for it for it to work. I had this setup once before for another service but the tokens expired.

Is it at all possibly to use one of my existing, already paid for accounts within CSAI?

Regretfully, as far as I know and checking the online docs of ChatGPT and Perplexity, the normal account is different from an API account so you will need to subscribe to their API account.

This means CSAI is completely unusable without subscribing to the API services of the available models, and therefore cost will also be unknown and subject to how you use the tool, is that correct?

CSAI works by connecting to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, HuggingFace, or even self-hosted models like Stable Diffusion). As a result, API costs are determined by the provider you choose and will vary based on your actual usage. You have the flexibility to select different providers or even use locally hosted models to help control costs. CSAI is an interface to receive or use AI in your website. The cost of using the AI models is based entirely on the pricing and rate limits set by each AI service, so actual expenses will depend on which provider you select and how much you use their features.

Thanks for that. Is there any resources Themeco produces or provides to help setup a self-hosted option? This seems like it would be a great baseline option. It would be great if that was some how packaged in the plugin.
