Creating Video Posts with Gravity Forms

Hi, I am having Gravity forms create a post using post fields. It works fine for standard posts however I’m trying to create a video post using an vimeo embed code. I can’t figure out how to have the form populate the “Embedded Video Code” field. I’ve seen instructions for other themes but not x-pro. There is an advanced tab in the Gravity Forms box that supposedly links to the video embed field of a theme but I don’t know what x-pro calls it.

Can you help?

I am able to bring the video embed code in a standard post but then it doesn’t show the video thumnail in the post page. I think it would be much cleaner if I could actually get the video post creation from Gravity Forms to work.

Hello @kcostellomak,

Thanks for the very detailed information. In X/Pro theme, we use a custom Post Meta named as “Video Post Settings” when you select Video as the post format. The custom meta name of the video embed code is _x_video_embed.

Please edit your form and make sure that the name of the custom meta field is the same as of what we have in the theme.

Thank you! That was exactly what I was looking for but it didn’t seem to work. However I am using the standard post and it is displaying the video thumnails in content view so all is well.
