Creating pages in Cornerstone

My pages and edits are loading extremely slowly in Cornerstone so much that it is difficult to create a page and do simple edits.

Cornerstone won’t load and editing in cornerstone is not working. I am getting frustrated as I spent two hours to add a couple of simple paragraphs in any other editor would take 5 minutes.

It won’t allow me to delete the Button element I accidentally added. Kindly advise how to delete that?

I may have to switch back to Thrive editor … can I use that moving forward with X theme if these issues are not resolved?

Thanks. I will provide it in secure note. Please note I use Thrive content page builder for home page so please do not change anything on home page. I have checked and Thrive works with any theme including cornerstone so I use both Thrive and Cornerstone.

Please also advise how to delete the button and other elements such as the image at the bottom when I added it from the Elements. This video shows that I can go from Element to Inspector to Layout but it doesn’t always do that. It’s glitchy: https://cl.ly/rB0x

With regards to your queries.

  1. You can delete the button by selecting your button element and clicking on delete on the top right.

  1. When dragging elements, you are only aloud to drop it inside the dotted box not outside as you did in the video.

Thanks. I had tried deleting it that way but it didn’t work.

I am sending new credential for wordpress login.

Template do not get loaded into Cornerstone as per the video in my last message.

I got a reply from another thread that there is a bug with cornerstone regarding template upload and wonder if it’s connected to this issue of cornerstone loading. Hence why I am getting it not to load perhaps?

The Cornerstone editing seems to be hit and miss when it loads?

Perhaps just let me know how to debug this and send screenshots and I will do my best to follow along?

I am wasting hours and hours waiting for it to load - and it is costing me time and money.

I am disappointed in this and please advise why and how to fix… and whether you will debug soon. It has been several weeks and seems like X page has a lot of issues. The issues is causing me to revert back to Thrive themes as I never had any issues and it was fast and easy. Unless Cornerstone can get working without bugs, then I am seriously reconsidering using it in future.

Hello There,

Most users do not have any issues when building pages in Cornerstone. There could be some factors that contribute as to why you are experiencing the issue in your installation. It could be server configuration, memory limit, installed plugins, JS conflicts and among other. It is best that we can test it in your site installation. To make this possible, I would recommend that you create a staging site. This is very useful because you can test drive any X updates in the staging area, do the customizations and troubleshooting without disrupting your live site. Once everything is perfect, you can easily and flawlessly proceed the update in the live site. To know how to create a staging area, please check out these articles:
