Creating Columns in Posts (No Cornerstone)

Hi!

I understand that you can use cornerstone to create columns, but because I just like to use the default writing style, how is it possible for me to create two columns of text? For example:

Column 1 -------------------------------------------- Column 2
Text ------------------------------------------------------- Text
Text ------------------------------------------------------- Text
Text ------------------------------------------------------- Text

I’ve tried following some CSS coding I found online, but it isn’t responsive for mobile.
