Creating a development site using our X-Theme license

Hello!

We already have our website running using the X-Theme (http://cosaris.com) but it hasn’t been updated for a while and now we are going to redesign the site to bring it up to date.

We would like to set up a development site on a subdomain (something like http://cosaris.com/development) and install X-Theme on it while it is developed but also still leave the old site running.

Is it possible to temporarily use 2 versions of the theme while our new site is developed and then remove it once it is ready to go live?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for posting in.

What do you mean by 2 versions? You can’t use multiple themes at the same time if it’s just the same with different versions.

I recommend cloning your site as staging in a sub-domain then do the update and testing there. When you think it’s ready for live, then just move it to your live site overriding what’s there.

Okay thanks. Yes that is what I meant.

So when we update the theme on the sub domain it won’t affect the version on the live site?
