Creating a custom element in cornerstone

Hello!
I have been having some trouble creating a custom element in cornerstone, if I could receive some help in that, that’d be great! I am trying to create something similar to the “Classic Recent Posts” element which is not customizeable, as I’d like to add in a specific picture and writing below.
