Create Row of Background Color

I would like to have a block of color span an entire row (content band) on the page from margin to margin.

How can I set this using the visual composer? Is it a CSS background color code? Please let me know! When I try to set it, there is a white space on either side I don’t want.

Hi There,

You need to click on your row settings turn off container and add a background color.

If you are just starting with Visual Composer I would highly recommend you using Cornerstone instead.

I have used both plugins and Cornerstone is much more intuitive especially because you have the elements shown on the screen as you go editing the page. You will save time and achieve better results with less effort.

Hope it helps!

Hi!

I am really familiar with using Visual Composer, which is why I’d prefer to use it for this if possible. I tried doing as you suggested and it didn’t work. There is still white space between the block of color and the edge of the screen. I would like it edge-to-edge over an entire row.

Info below

Hi,

You need to select a No Container template under page attributes.

I went ahead and created a sample page for you

Okay, so “no container” template and then select the following:

Inner container
Remove Margin

Correct?

Seems to work great! Thank you so much! Any troubles with this on mobile that you know of (such as words going off the page or something?)

Hi,

That’s correct and it should work fine in mobile.

Thanks
