Create New Page or Post --> "Edit With Pro" does not work

Hi Guys

A new client here. I cannot use the front end editor. As I click “edit with pro” as per the screenshot below nothing happens, the pro tab disappears and the focus moves to “text” window. Same behaviour with either version of Pro (1.2.7 or the latest one – 2x)

Brand new site, zero plugins activated, no CDN etc. Memory limits defined at 556M.

Can you please update your PHP version to V7 and let us know if that works for you.
If that doesn’t help please send us your website details so that we can have a look on to the issue.

Please provide following information:
Set it as Secure Note

  • Link to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • FTP credentials

Hi @basanta

Any guidelilnes on the PHP versions? I have 7, 7.1 and 7.2 available. Could you confirm if there’s any known issues with any of the 7.x?

Thanks for updating the thread. :slight_smile:

As of now WordPress suggest you to have PHP version 7.2 or greater. You can take a look at following article on server requirement. https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/. You can update PHP to version 7.2 and let us know how it goes.

Still does not work. With the PHP7.2 is gives me the below error message

Deprecated: Function create_function() is deprecated in
/usr/local/www/{path}/wp-content/themes/pro/framework/functions/global/admin/meta/setup.php on line 34

Just to update. On attempting creating a new page or post, the above error message – “…line 34” is shown 10 times. Same problem when attempting to launch the “pro” from there. However, on an existing page, when I click the “pro” tab it shows a warning that the page was not created in Pro and its content will be overwritten and then launches the editor.

Would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look and fix the issue?
To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

  • FTP Hostname
  • FTP Username
  • FTP Password
