Crafty demo Footer & Shop Questions

Hi folks,

I am trying to assign a new menu to the footer of a Crafty demo site, I’ve edited the global block and am trying to assign a new menu to the inline navigation element but for some reason the menu is not changing even though it shows the correct menu is selected? Any ideas?

Also in the shop / product / cart pages I would like to have the category list appear on the left sidebar. I have recently started using PRO instead of X and I know how I would have done this on X but the code snippet doesn’t work now… can you please advise.

Hello Stephen,

Thank you for the very detailed information. We have checked our local testing for comparison. We cannot replicate the issue from our end. We can easily change the menu when we edit the global block on our local test servers. It seems that this is connected to your server settings. Please go to Tools > Site Health and make sure to resolve all the performance issues especially the Rest API issue because your REST API is disabled. To enable the API you need to check all active plugins and themes (by disabling them one by one) to find which one disabling the REST API.

It could also be caused by a plugin conflict, amongst other things. Please check out this troubleshooting article here and follow the instructions for the following sections (where appropriate):

• Testing for Plugin Conflict
• Theme Update
• Child Theme
• Disabling Cache
• Disabling CDN

What about the issue with the shop categories etc.?

Hello Stephen,

In Pro > Theme Options > Layouts and Design > Content Layout, you have selected “Fullwidth”. This means that throughout your site, you will not have a sidebar. Please change the setting to “Content | Sidebar” or “Sidebar | Content” to display a sidebar in your shop, product, and cart pages.

You can then go to Appearance > Widgets and insert the Shop Categories to the Main Sidebar.
