CPT and Layouts

Hello,

I have 4.0.0 installed and trying to get layouts assigned to the blog and guide sections but it’s not working, or perhaps I am missing something.

A page is set for the Blog with Layout assigned which is working.

Not sure if I need a static page set? Is that needed?

Despite having the post page set as single and assigned to post type > post it’s still showing the basic page.

I have created the same kinda thing with guides using CPT UI.

I have entered the login details in a secure note for you. My betting is that I am missing something really simple.

Hi Mark,

I’m sorry about that. I was checking on your site and I deactivated all plugins, resaved the assignment and it started working. I’ve reactivated your plugins and it’s working now. I wish I could explain clearly what was not working before. Let me know if you see your Blog Layout assigned or if there are any other issues you run into.

Huh! Well, if you don’t know then I’m clueless but seems to be working now with blog and the guides custom post type.

However I have a different header set for the shop which hasn’t updated? Very odd.

Glad it’s working now. Regarding headers, did you correct the assignment rules manually? Looks like it’s working now but were you saying it wasn’t working at first? Was it showing the default Stack header, or your other header at first? Thanks!

Yep! just needed to correct assignments and priority. All sorted now! 4.0.0 is AWESOME!
