Counters on mobile devices have stopped working

All my counters on small mobile screens have stopped working. They still work on larger desktops though. I swapped out the classic counters for the more up to date counters but even they will not work? This is destroying my traffic, plunged from a peak of 500,000 to 3000, not suprising considering 70% traffic comes through mobile devices.

So if I shrink my screen window down to its smallest size on a desktop the counters still work. However, they will not work on a real phone, I have tried iphone and android phones. Its not only counters that dont work, accordions and drop down menus also fail to operate. So it must be an issue with javascript?

I am getting failed to load resource errors which is probably cause of this problem

Hello @waynepatt58,

Thanks for writing in! Does this issue happened after the updates? Please do check out this documentation first:

The issue could also be caused by a plugin conflict amongst other things, Kindly troubleshoot the most common issues by:

Thanks for suggestions. I have been through the whole list and still the problem persists. I have disabled all plugins (except Corner Stone) and cleared all caches on phones and CDN. Can you please check the home page on your phone gunstocarry.com and see if the hamburger menu works, thanks

The prior comment I made above about resources not loading only had to do with google so is not the problem. I also made up a page called Test gunstocarry.com/test with counters on it, the counters did not work on the phones but did work on desktop version.

Hello @waynepatt58,

I checked your site on my phone(iPhone 7+) it seems that the menu and counter are working fine please have a look at the given video in the secure note. Please clear your phone browser cache and then check it again.

Thanks

Thanks looks good. I have cleared my browser cache multiple times but with no luck. So I have an iphone 6 with older operating system, plus an older android phone. I am just wondering if it is because they do not have the latest operating system that the web site is no longer working correctly on them? Although you would not expect it to happen on both phones as it does.

Please watch this video https://youtu.be/9jk4SJnk3M0

Every cache on this phone was cleared.

Hello @waynepatt58,

I checked your site n the Android phone on Chrome version 97.0.4692.98 and it is working fine. I would suggest you please share your browser version.

Thanks

The chrome browser version on my phone is 50.0.2661.89
So I am not sure what year that dates back to but certainly looks much older than your version.
Just checked, it was released in 2016 and there does not seem to be a way to update it?

OK found a way to update it on the android phone and it fixed the issue. However I could not fix it on the iphone as there does not seem to be a way to update safari. I installed chrome on the iphone but still would not work so I assume Apple are trying to force us to upgrade phones by disabling features on older iphones. Anyway you seem to have hit the nail on the head and it does seem to be the actual phones that are the problem and not xtheme, thanks for your help, much appreciated!

You’re welcome, @waynepatt58.
