I’d like to achieve something like what’s shown here:

However, when I input the shortcode nothing happens (the code get’s displayed not the desired result)

How can I fix this?

Can you please confirm if you have activated the counter plugins?
I am not sure exactly if you are using any third party plugins for the counter shortcode.
If you can send us your login details in a secure note so that we can have a look.
