Countdown Timer wrong on Chrome only

Hi. I am following up on a ticket that expired. I have a countdown timer inserted and the correct date, time and GMT-0400 are programmed. The problem is that it’s showing 4 hours too much time remaining when the page is viewed on my desktop iMac or Macbook USING CHROME. However, the same page is fine when viewed on Safari on the desktop and laptop. It’s also correct when using Chrome on my iPhone and iPad. Only Chrome on the desktop computer is showing 4 hours too much.

As suggested in a previous ticket, I have confirmed the time is correct in WordPress and I have cleared Chrome’s cache and disabled plug-ins, but the problem still persists. BTW, the time it’s counting down to is 8:00pm ET on March 31. Open this page in both Chrome and another browser to see the problem. Thanks.

Thank you for your report. I checked the problem on my local installation and could recreate the issue. Actually, the Safari browser is the only one that performs correctly and Chrome and Opera do not.

I added this to our issue tracker and our development team will take a look into the problem. You will be able to check if the problem is fixed or not in the next release Changelog.

Wow. So this element is not to be used at all then? How could it be included when it’s so dysfunctional? It only needs to do one thing and it doesn’t do it. I’ve taken it off the page. But I would rather it work and include it. Thanks.
