Countdown timer & cache issue

Hi, I have noticed that the countdown timer does not update correctly when using the Litespeed Cache plugin. I understand this would be related to its technique of caching the page, however, is there any option to allow that countdown timer not to be cached?

I provide the countdown timer date using dynamic content. I have disabled and enabled the cache plugin, so I know it is this. It works well without a cache plugin. The countdown timer does correctly countdown when the page is loaded, but on refresh, rather than going to the correct time left, it resets back to the time/date when the page was last saved.

Ie - 13 days and 3 hours left, it will correctly go down to 2 hours left, when you leave the countdown. Refresh the page and it will reset to 13 days and 3 hours to go. Go to cornerstone, save the page, the countdown will now be 13 days and 2 hours left.

It always calculates the countdown time from the last saved date (cached), until the countdown date. Rather than the current time/date until the countdown date.

Any suggestions of what to exclude in cache, to allow the countdown timer to work?

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for reaching out.
It seems that a problem with the said plugin. As this is a 3rd Party plugin we don’t have control over the code, I would suggest you contact the plugin author in this case. Please let us know their feedback on this.
I would suggest you check with a different cache plugin and let us know if you find the same issue with it.

Thanks
