Correct multi-site set up to install theme

i have recently created a subdomain for a “members only” site. I have attempted to map this subdomain to my multisite network however i’m not sure i have it set up correctly. While the subdomain appears in the sites list it diverts me to login to the separate WP install (which is non-multi site) and therefore I cannot install my existing Theme X and plugins etc on the subdomain site. So i’m thinking i’ve missed something in the set up. Can you provide advice on setting up the multi site network correctly so I can load my theme X and plugins?

Hi There,

Please go through the following video walkthrough (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvyf9c_h4T4) and make sure that you have set it up correctly.

Hope that helps.

Thanks this was a great tutorial. My issue ended up being that i didn’t have the wildcard domain set up correctly.

I now have the following issues:

  1. When i try to view my main site (inclusivesportdesign.com) it seems it logs me out in the live site (but stays logged in on the dashboard so cannot see the wp admin menus and thus cornerstone editor is unavailable etc.

  2. In my subdomain (members.inclusivesportdesign.com) when i view the live site i remain logged in so can see the wp admin menus etc however in the dashboard I have the following errors:

Warning: max(): Array must contain at least one element in /home/miccam12/public_html/inclusivesportdesign.com/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7-mailchimp-extension/lib/tools.php on line 119 (this also appears on the live site)

Any ideas how to fix this?

ok so i think i have resolved the logging in issue by refreshing my cahe and cookies. So thats a win.

Still getting the plugin errors though. I have deactivated and reactivated the contact form 7 and mail chimp plugins, both on the network and on the subdomain site, to no avail. For now i will deactivate them, but any advice on a fix would be very welcome.

Hi there,
The problem seems to be generated by a plugin called ontact-form-7-mailchimp-extension.
It is not the Contact Form 7 nor the Mailchimp plugin. It seems to be a 3rd party plugin connecting those together.

Please kindly contact the developer of the plugin and ask for help regarding the case:

Thank you.
