I can create a template from my page BUT I cannot make any changes save - I get a red “uh oh error”

Thank you for writing in, do you use Elementor? It seems there is an issue with that plugin. Try deactivating Elementor and Elementor Pro, and see if that resolves the issue.
If not, please do testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Sorry to barge in here but better than starting a new thread. You are correct - it is in fact a conflict with elementor. I deactivated elementor plugin and I was able to make and save change with cornerstone.
The question is what to do now? I still need to use elementor.

If there’s an Elementor update, please try updating to the latest version. If that does not resolve the issue, you would need to report this to Elementor support so they could investigate what scripts are causing Cornerstone not to save.

Yes that fixed it. Their update just came out.
