Cornestone doesn't upload automatically

Hello,

I had already uploaded the X theme once on another site, but I decided to move on another project so I created a new website and uploaded the X theme on it.

In the validation process, I had to change the website on my licenses page so that I could use the license code with the new website.

That’s what I did and everything’s working well except that the Cornerstone plugin doesn’t show anywhere. I looked for some information and I found on another topic that the plugin would download automatically upon license validation by the servers, but it didn’t happen.

What should I do?

Have a nice week

Hi Dany,

Do you have the most updated version of X installed on your site? If so, kindly update to the latest version then check the admin area.

Also, please check the folder permission on the wp-content/plugins directory.

Hello,

I checked and I have the latest version of X (6.4.6) and the wp-content/plugins directory has a 755 permission. Do I need to change it?

Thank you!

Hello,

I could find the plugin files on a backup of my previous website and install it manually on the new one.

When I was looking in the files of my new website, there was a file named “cornerstone” but it didn’t have all the documents needed to make the plugin work, the size was of 408 ko and not 20 mb as it should be. So I think there was an issue when attempting to upload it automatically. I don’t know why.

Now everything is fine.

Hi Dany,

Sorry for the confusion here. If you don’t have PHP cURL extension enabled on your server (or a similar related issue), Cornerstone plugin will not install automatically.

In such cases, you need to manually install the file. You can find the original plugin file when you unzip x.zip theme file. The cornerstone.zip file location is (x/framework/cornerstone.zip).

Thanks!
