Cornerstone, WP and AMP not working!

Hi there

I’m trying to make my site AMP friendly, and struggling. Any posts created in Cornerstone since my last update (WP + Cornerstone both updated) does not pull text through to the Text and Visual sections for the post in Wordpress - all I’m getting is the style reference code:

EG:

[cs_content][cs_element_section _id=“1”][cs_element_row _id=“2”][cs_element_column _id=“3”][cs_element_text _id=“4”][/cs_element_column]

As the text/visual sections in WP seems to be what is pulled into the AMP version of the page all I get is the style code, not my text.

I’ve tried different AMP plugins and this happens with them all, so it’s an issue with Wordpress and Cornerstone compatability.

Short of manually editing this each time, I’m at a loss, I can’t seem to find a setting to alter this.

Any help?

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! In the latest release, all the text contents will be saved in the post meta options. It will no longer be displayed as a content wrapped with shortcodes. This is the reason why you are only seeing a bunch of shortcodes. Cornerstone built posts/pages may not be readable with any AMP plugins.

I’ve submitted this to our issue tracker so the developers will be made aware of it and see what they can do to resolve this conflict.

Best Regards.

Thanks so much for your reply - is there anything I can do to enable AMP in the short term though?

As this is such an important aspect of Google’s search algorithm I’m keen to give visitors to my site the best experience…

Hey,

While our developer team doesn’t provide a workaround, I ask you to have patience and wait for further updates.
