Cornerstone won't load - Hangs

On the recent update the site won’t load at all. The cache has been cleared and turned off and the theme and required plulgins are updated. Getting SPDY error in Chrome, cleared and flushed all sockets and browser cache. I’m stumped. Help me edit my site! I see others are having the same issue.

UPDATE: The same issue is found in Firefox. It looks like a runtime error.

Hi

Deactivate and then delete the Cornerstone plugin. Then head to the X mainpage inside WordPress and wait like 30 secs, as Cornerstone will then auto-magically re-install… and then enjoy a working Cornerstone

Cornestrone was reinstalled after deletion but it still does not work.

I get the following error message on a page load that takes over 2 mins:

This site can’t be reached

Hi,

Try to set permalinks to post name.

Go to Settings > Permalinks and select post name then Save Changes.

If that doesn’t help try to contact your host as this is most likely due to server settings.

Thanks

Hi Paul,

I have already reset permalinks.

Also, it isn’t a problem with hosting as nothing has changed. It looks like a problem with the recent theme update.

From my diagnosis of the front end editor and the lack of connection on the dashboard, it seems like there is no DB connection being made.

What do you think @paul.r ?

I’ve had issues where cornerstone was not loading in Safari and in Edge - Chrome did the job.

Hey @endemeo, I use Chrome for editing the site and it is not working, thanks though.

Please update me as soon as possible @paul.r @Lely

Hi there,

Protocol error is not a run time error, it’s more like a connectivity issue. Please provide your admin login credentials in a secure note and the URL that has this issue then I’ll check it

Thanks!

@louisaleontiades, please open a separate thread for your issue and also don’t post credentials in someone else’s thread as the author could see it.

Thanks.
