I’ve deactivated all plugins and no change. I restored back to the last known working version (day before yesterday) and it’s still not working. Since I spent hours making changes yesterday, I decided to roll back forward from the most recent backup.
No Uh Oh, just a grey screen.
I worked on the site yesterday, everything was working fine after updating the plugins, theme, and to WordPress 6.7. I replaced Meta Slider with modern sliders>autoplay progress slider that I imported from another site. When I uploaded it, I received an error message saying uh oh (the images were not uploaded), but other than that, I was able to add new images and when I finished up last night everything was working fine.
Today, I logged in to change one of the slider images and Cornerstone wouldn’t load. Here’s what I see (see screenshot below). It doesn’t matter which option I choose – Theme Options, Templates, Settings – nothing changes.
Here’s the error I see in the console when accessing cornerstone in the back end.
I also can’t access anything via the regular “edit” page screen. It’s a light grey screen when I open that and here is the console error:
The default theme (2024) does the same thing on the regular “edit” page.
I will send login credentials in a secure note. The site is https://test.ryanyounginteriors.com. It’s a new site build.
I can’t understand why rolling back to the last known working version wouldn’t fix it
Update: I just restored to an even earlier backup and I get the same issue with the WordPress editor and conerstone: blank screens. This site is hosted at SiteGround and I am using their full account backup. It seems like something got corrupted in some way. I don’t know how. Any help would be appreciated.
