Cornerstone won't load certain pages

I have a multisite instance with six sites that has been running for some time. Five of the sites have custom, mapped domains (not subsite domains).

Upgraded to Pro 6.7.12 just a couple days ago. Also updated WP core at the same time.

My client recently reported that they cannot edit the Header, and I’m experiencing the same problem.

I can launch Cornerstone, and most pages open just fine. However, the Header won’t load on 4 of the 6 sites. The animated loading icon just spins.

Five of the 6 sites have a very similar, complex header. Of those:

  • The parent site has a very simple header. It will load.
  • One site is still in development but has the complex header. Its domain is a subdomain of the parent site. The header loads just fine on this one.
  • The complex header will not load on 4 of the sites. These each have mapped domains.

I’m mentioning the mapped domains because I saw another thread that indicated the issue might have been with mixed content. I’m 95% certain the header doesn’t have mixed content, but I thought it an odd coincidence that the header will load only on the parent site (main domain) and the one non-mapped domain.

The front-ends of all sites are working fine.

Best Regards.

Added a secure note.

Hello Danni,

I only have access to one site. The header is loading on my end with this site.

  • See the secure note below.

Thanks.

Sorry; let me try this again. Another Secure Note coming.

Hello Danni,

Please change the role of the given user account as “SuperAdmin”. We want to check the plugins and the child theme’s functions.php file.

Thanks.

I’ve upgraded that account.

Just making sure you have what you need on this. Do you have any updates?

Hello Danni,

Just as I expected, the issue is coming from a 3rd party plugin. I would recommend starting to deactivate the Complianz plugin and see how it goes. Perhaps, this thread might interest you:

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Thank you so much for investigating this! The snippet from the other thread seems to have fixed this.

Is there a list of known conflicts anywhere?

Hey Danni,

We don’t currently have a full list of known conflicts, as issues often vary from user to user. However, conflicts are more likely to be similar when both sites have the same setup—such as having the same plugins installed.

Cheers.
