Cornerstone with WPML displaying "No suitable preview area found." on second language

Hi,
After much effort I found out that WPML isn’t compatible with components. I devised a workaround in a way of creating multiple global blocks and naming them “block-testimonials-en” and “block-testimonials-fr” for French.
Then I planned to go into the page and click the French flag at the top right, click copy from “en” and have my French page. I’d then swap all the global blocks with “-en” to the ones I made “-fr”.

I tried to test this and when I click the French flag, copy from “en” then I get the page but it reverts back to my homepage and I get the error in Cornerstone:

Uh oh! No suitable preview area found. This could happen when a third party plugin is overriding the content area or “The Content” is not being output by the current layout.

I am also using this on an ACF post page if that makes a difference. I have the ACF WPML plugin installed.

That document was not found when I tried to view it. When I copy pages I don’t see the issue. Is there a single layout that is missing?

I had to find a solution because the client couldn’t wait.

My conclusion is that ACF, X Theme Pro, and WPML do not work together which is disappointing. I’d probably go as far to say that Pro and WPML are not compatible. If you build Pro based on documentation with their best practices then in turn WPML will not work.

I built the site “the right way” and found this out and had to rebuild a lot of it accordingly. I have been using Pro for 7 years and this was my first time I needed to do translations. I’ll have to find a different way next time without Pro.

Without seeing the issue it’s hard to diagnosis what went wrong. There are a number of issues we are addressing in Pro 6.6 in are move from Shortcodes to HTML and you will see a very different WPML integration in the future. We plan on having a town hall over this soon and would love to get your thoughts when that time comes. Have a great day.
