Cornerstone Video Player Not Working

Hi there, edited a page in Cornerstone and added a video player. Using a YouTube URL as the source. The page is here:

The video will not play and there seems to be some error codes in the video player.

What am I missing?

Hello @jhurlbut,

Thanks for asking.

Video player is working fine on my end. Can you please try clearing browser cache and try loading again? Please see screencast. https://screencast.com/t/TKJWzc7d49Ie

Thanks.

Hi @Prasant It works in Chrome on OS X but not Safari. Safari on left, Chrome on Right. Suggestions?

Hello There,

You are experiencing this kind of issue because you are using the video player incorrectly. The video player will take a source video file which should be in *.mp4, *.ogv or *.webm format only. Anything you input aside from this three file formats will always result to an issue.

Since you are using Youtube anyway, please make use of the Youtube embed code instead.

And to know how you can get the embed code, please check this out:

I do not see that option on my video player in Cornerstone. And why would it work on Chrome and not on Safari?

I found the Video Embed, thank you!

You’re welcome!
We’re glad we were able to help you out.
