Cornerstone unresponsive preview error related to cache

Hello, we noticed that when trying to edit a particular page in Draft Mode (Piura) there is a cornerstone preview error which seems to be a cache error. I also checked that deleting style cache can fix it but don’t know if it can affect any of the pages or if it’s safe. Credentials in secure note.

Thanks for your time

Hi @ITLabUlima,

Thanks for reaching out.

I recommend the following troubleshooting procedures before we investigate the settings.

  1. TESTING FOR THEME RELATED ISSUE
  2. TESTING FOR PLUGIN CONFLICT
  3. THEME UPDATE
  4. CHILD THEME
  5. CSS/JS CUSTOMIZATION
  6. VERSION COMPATIBILITY

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Hello! Thanks for your response, we tried checking for theme versions, plugins, checking cache and clearing it and the problem persists. However we noticed it happens on some pages like “Piura” but others like “Concurso” work fine.

Thanks again for quick response

Hi @ITLabUlima,

It seems that there is an IP restriction implemented in your site, and we are not able to access your website to examine. As we are from different parts of the World and most of us have a dynamic IP so we can’t provide a specific IP address for whitelisting too.

Alternatively, I would like to request you to remove the IP(s) restrictions or you can copy your live site to a staging server without IP restrictions, so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your site.

NOTE: Sometimes, an existing folder in the same name of the page may cause this issue, please check that too.

Thanks

Hi, we deactivated the plugin that managed restrictions so you should be able to enter now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you

Hi @ITLabUlima,

It has been found that the page you mentioned is not loading with the Cornerstone, whereas when it cloned and opened using the builder it loaded successfully.

It would be suggested to check by deleting the original version of page and use the cloned version instead and let us know if that resolves the issue.

Please find the test URL in the secure note.
Thanks

Hello, we managed to find the error, it was a conflict with the menus so we made template copies of the pages (directly cloning didn’t work) and it fixed. Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi @ITLabUlima,
