Cornerstone shortcodes not parsing

Cornerstone is active/installed on the site, but shortcodes aren’t parsing and I can’t edit a page.

My client’s hosting company said: There was an error that indicated a compatibility issue with your current theme (X) and the Cornerstone plugin. But both are updated to the latest versions?

Can you help figure out what’s going on?

You have installed the wrong plugin.

I went ahead and installed the right plugin.
