Cornerstone Section Issues

hello, I designed my homepage using cornerstone almost a month ago. At that time the sections were properly aligned next to each other but now they all appear out of sync.

For instance, I have two sections on my page - ‘popular categories’ and ‘trending articles’, under each section I have listed three articles. On the desktop view, these three articles under each section should display side by side- that is all three in a row. (adding my homepage URL as a secured note for reference.)

I understand that on mobile view they will display one after the other and not in a line because of the small screen. But this should not be the case for Desktop view.

I have not changed any settings and just today, as I wanted to update some categories, I found my homepage to be like this.

Can someone please help. I don’t know how to get it to display these sections in a row.

Thanks

Hi Rashmi,

I can see the issue. It seems your site theme is corrupted. There are missing CSS from the theme.

See this: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cYhreLkJC4

Please try to reinstall the theme. See this guide under manual update.

Let us know how this goes.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I am using the child theme and don’t see the delete option. I am also, admittedly, technologically challenged. If I give you the login credentials, can you fix the theme for me?

Hey Rashmi,

I’m sorry but we can’t provide a fix unless it’s proven that the issue is really coming from our theme and not caused by 3rd party factors such as customizations, optimizations and 3rd party plugins.

I see you’re using a caching and also you’re minifying and combining all CSS into one huge CSS file. Please do the following basic troubleshooting procedure to test if the issue is really coming from our theme. Do all of the following and test if the issue persists.

I understand that you’re technically challenged but some technical knowledge is required to operate the whole of WordPress itself and not just our theme. If you wish for us to manage your site, you can subscribe to our Care service here: https://theme.co/care

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/docs/version-compatibility. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/docs/product-updates for more details.

  2. If you’re using a caching or optimization plugins, clear all caches then temporarily deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins. Please then clear your browser’s cache.

  3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  4. If you’re using a child theme, switch to the parent theme.

  5. If you have custom CSS and Javascript codes anywhere in your site, please temporarily remove all of them.

Only if none of the suggestion helps, give us the following info in a Secure Note.

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thanks.
