Cornerstone Plugin - Fatal Error?

I keep trying to activate Cornerstone, but I’m getting the following error:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Cornerstone_Plugin_Base in /hermes/bosnacweb04/bosnacweb04ae/b2500/dom.katiepaigeinnovations36036/public_html/katiepaigeinnovations.com/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/utility/plugin-base.php on line 6

Can someone help me with this? Trying to start building my website ASAP. Thanks!

Hi Katie,

The error that you get, shows the problem must be a double installation of the Cornerstone plugin. Please kindly go to WordPress Dashboard > Plugins and delete all instances of the Cornerstone plugin.

Also, please do the same using the FTP connection and go directly to wp-content/plugins folder and delete any folder with the name of cornerstone.

Then please go to WordPress Dashboard > Validation and wait for a few seconds and the Cornerstone plugin will install automatically.

Now, if you are using the Pro theme you do not need the Cornerstone plugin at all and you need to follow the same steps I mentioned to delete the Cornerstone plugin and then you can use the Pro page builder with no problem. You should not have the Cornerstone plugin installed if you have the Pro theme.
