Cornerstone: Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error

My site at https://thrive.church was working fine then all of the sudden yesterday we got this message:

There has been a critical error on this website.

It would display when I changed the theme but obviously didn’t look right. I updated PHP to 7.4 because I thought that might fix it, but it didn’t.

Then I saw Cornerstone asking for license info so I put that it but it said it couldn’t be validated. So I deleted Cornerstone and tried to install a free copy (from my X folder). But now it is saying:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

And the whole set is messed up…please help

Hi @royljestr,

Can you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
– FTP/CPanel credential to access the files.

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

I send the info in a secure note

Hey @royljestr,

The credential you provided is not working, please double check and update them with the correct ones.

Thank you.

Did that login work?

Hello @royljestr,

The log in works. You just need to update Cornerstone plugin before activating it. By the way, you can check all the supported and available plugin updates on this documentation article:

Best Regards.
