Cornerstone not working with pages that have iframe

Hello,

I was having some issues getting Cornerstone to work with my site. I recently transferred it to a new host, and Cornerstone keeps giving an error message: “The preview was unresponsive after loading. This is most often related to a plugin conflict or aggressive page cacheing.”

This only occurs on pages where I have an iframe that links to another site.

I have upgraded to the newest version of the theme. The site is www.nelc-law.org.

Thank you for your help!

Hi Michael,

I checked your website, and the few pages and the Cornerstone is working correctly. Would you please get back to us with the page in question that the builder is not working so that we can follow up?

If there is a problem with iFrame, it might be caused by the cross-origin reference rule. I suggest that you contact your hosting service provider and ask them what to add to .htaccess file if your hosting is using Apache to fix the problem.

We will be happy to take a look into the backed in you give us the URL of the page, which has the problem.

Hi Chris,

The issue was occuring on any page that has an Iframe that loads content from Wild Apricot, a membership management tool. I had the site hosted on Namecheap and didn’t have any issues with this, but I recently switched hosting over to Name.com and the problem began.

One sample page is this: https://www.nelc-law.org/events/

This page loads an iframe from Wild Apricot with a list of events. Trying to edit this page in Cornerstone causes Cornerstone to hang and display the error message listed above.

Thanks for your help!

Hello Michael,

The iframe was added in the widget area. You may remove the iframe from the widget area so that you can edit the page. You can add it back once you are done editing the page. Please keep in mind that the contents of the iframe cannot be edited nor styled. It can only be done if you have physical access to the contents of the iframe.

I have logged in to your site and edited your events page. There is a JS error on the page:

https://www.nelc-law.org/Common/EnableCookies.js 404

How did you insert this js files? If this came from a 3rd plugin, you may deactivate the plugin temporarily. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Please let us know how it goes.
