CORNERSTONE NOT WORKING! uninstalled it, deleted it, and now cannot find it to reinstall it! URGENT!

Hi there.

This has been happening since I updated both cornerstone and X theme.
I have X theme 5.2.5 and had Cornerstone 2.1.7
The first time I recall it happened was on Nov 9th, when I tried to make a post in my blog and Cornerstone wouldn’t let me modify anything.

It seems to be happening to a lot of guys out there! When I wanted to make changes using Cornerstone, I just found on the right side of the screen all the pages of my site, and whenever I chose to edit a page, I saw a preview of the screen for around two seconds, and then blank.

After reading comments here, I decided to go for uninstalling Cornerstone, deleting it and then re-installing. The thing is now I cannot find where to retrieve Cornerstone from. So I don´t know if this is the solution or not!

In “Add new plugins” Cornerstone is available only in 0.7.5 version and when installing it, it does not work.

First, I need Cornerstone 2.1.7 back and then make it work to modify my pages.

Please advise ASAP!

Hi There,

I have installed Cornerstone for you. Basically you can find the Cornerstone.zip plugin file under your X theme (x/framework/plugins/).

Thanks!

Thank you!!!

Now, the original issue: I am trying to change some of my pages through Cornerstone, but simply cannot make it. I get the following screen:

And, when hoovering on a page, I get the “EDIT” button, like this:

After clicking on “Edit”, I get this page, which is the one I want to modify:

But after 4 seconds, it goes to blank!

The same happens with the posts:

I simply don´t seem to get any of the building options that I used to get. I have also tried the X in the upper left corner moving to templates, options, etc. but they don´t appear.

Do you need any further details to log in and verify what’s happening? MANY MANY THANKS!

Hello @LucasGuasque,

Thanks for asking.

After spending some time on the backend by testing for plugin conflict and resetting the permalinks, builder is working fine now. Please see screencast. https://screencast.com/t/mw6MWxLhA7

I see that you have outdated version of Php running on the server (also mentioned by you on the ticket). Running old version of Php can cause potential issues but more importantly it can also have security loopholes. I suggest you to take a look at the minimum server requirement for WordPress, a document published by the WordPress community and take action accordingly:

Thanks.

Thanks. As I said before, I am aware of the PHP version and will not be able to update it until in a few days time, when my agreement with my current hosting provider expires.

Meanwhile, is there anything I can do to make Cornerstone work? Are we 100% sure that this is the reason why Cornerstone is not working?

Thanks again

Hi @LucasGuasque,

As @Prasant said, your builder is already working now. However it would be best that you will update your PHP before editing with your cornerstone again.
I am 100% sure that it would not only conflict with your cornerstone but it will also cause problem in your Wordpress setup.

If you could not be able to update soon your PHP, replicate your setup in your local environment with the latest PHP version compatible. You can now continue developing your site with the latest PHP version.

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you.
