Cornerstone not working in portfolio pages

Hi there,
I’ve followed some earlier threads. However within the portfolio section of the X agency template, Cornerstone is still not working. I’m pretty new to website building so it does take me awhile to work things out. Although I know something is up.
I’ve added portfolio in the settings, why this isn’t a default… ? I’ve updated to the latest version and cleared cache etc. Still no joy. Any help would be awesome.

Hello Simon,

Thanks for writing in! When you create a page and use Layout - Portfolio page template, you will no longer be able to edit this page in Cornerstone because the page template will generate the contents. Cornerstone will give you and error because the content editor preview area will not load. You may only use Cornerstone in creating a post, page or portfolio items. Any pages that has been assigned as your Post Page or using the Layout - Portfolio page template will not load in Cornerstone.
