Cornerstone not working correctly

Hi there! I could use some help. I went to my website today to find that it was totally blank. I also was not able to get into the backend – when I tried, it also came up as a blank page.

I talked with my hosting folks, and after they had a chance to look at it, they said that there seems to be some conflict with Cornerstone. They disabled Cornerstone, and now my website also shows all the code throughout the site, with none of the Cornerstone stuff showing up. They were unable to tell me what the conflict might be and recommended that I get in touch with you.

Hi there,

The issue seems to be mainly caused by the file permissions of your site (see the error message in Secure Note).

Please get in touch with your hosting provider and follow the suggestions here:

https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions

Currently, your site is just showing shortcodes because Cornerstone is deactivated on your site.

In case you’re not able to get it sorted, please also provide us with the FTP details of your site.

Hello There,

Thanks for updating in! The given details allows us to log in to your ftp. Regretfully it only point us to an empty directory and not the actual WP installation directory of your site.

Could you please double check the credentials and your ftp so that we can investigate and find resolution to your issue.

Thank you! We’ve got the directory updated, and it should be good to go with the FTP credentials provided. I’ll provide them again below in a secure note. Please let me know if you need anything else…

Please try again, the installation is corrupted and it won’t continue. I re-installed the cornerstone plugin and should be okay now.
