Cornerstone not validating, X has been validated

Hello Team Themeco,
I purchased and installed the X theme at the beginning of this month (Jun/17). I am just beginning to build the website now and would like to user Cornerstone, however, when I go to the Cornerstone/Home in the Dashboard, it says that it will be automatically validated once X is validated.

When I click on the Validate button, it takes me to X/Overview.

And if I scroll down to the bottom of that page, it shows me that X has been validated, and that it includes a Cornerstone License.

I admit, this is my first time both using WordPress and building my own webpage. Is there something I am missing? How do I get Cornerstone validated?

It looks like you’re using an older version of Cornerstone that isn’t fully compatible with the version of X you’re using. Try this:

  1. Deactivate and delete Cornerstone from Plugins
  2. Visit X in your dashboard.

Cornerstone should automatically reinstall at the version that was bundled with the version of X you’re using.

I tried as you suggested. I disabled and deleted Cornerstone from the Plugins and it reinstalled itself, but still gives me the same result:

However, as you can see in the left menu bar, I also have Cornerstone/Launch and Cornerstone/Settings options. I assume Cornerstone is Validated and just not showing it as such?

Would you mind providing us with login credentials(by clicking on the Secure Note button at the bottom) so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

I am having the same problem I believe.

I have a valid license that is tied to this domain, not sure why it isn’t working.

Hi there @rlawson084. Please do not use the Secure Note functionality while you are not the original poster of the topic. The original poster will also see the login information.

Please kindly change the password of your Wordpress installation and create a new topic your self and give the information there using the secure note functionality.

Hi there @reynishl,

Thank you for providing your website login information. I managed to access the homepage using Cornerstone and it is working ok and does not need any validation anymore. I changed one of the titles in the middle of the homepage to Title 1 .

I suggest that you check the dashboard using other browser or clear your browser cache.

After my previous message to Alexander regarding access to the Launch and Settings options under Cornerstone on the left side menu of the dashboard, I was playing around with Cornerstone.
It works, and it’s not a big deal, but it still shows as needing validation on both browsers despite having cleared the cache on my regular browser (Chrome) and logging in on a different browser (Safari).

Hey @reynishl,

Thanks for updating in! I have investigated your site and the issue occurred because you have renamed the x folder to an uppercase X folder. I went ahead and resolved the issue by re uploading the x.zip in your themes folder. Cornerstone should now be validated.

Please check your site again.

No more Cornerstone validation notification.
