Cornerstone not saving or showing previews

Hey! I’ve gone through the posts you guys have about cornerstone not saving and tried everything:

1. We’re using cloudflare, turned off any minify settings and turned development mode on
2. Increased:

define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’ );
define( ‘WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘512M’ );

3. Increase PHP max execution time to 300
4. I’m emailing my host to see if /cornerstone-endpoint/ is being blocked by mod security (still waiting to hear back).
5. Deactivated all plugins and only ran “Cornerstone”, still won’t save
6. Tried different pages and even new pages with no content on them - doesn’t show any previews of my elements (text element) and when I added “Texty text” to the text element and save, it doesn’t actually save.

Any ideas? I’ll add access to the site in a private message next.

My pages do not save either. I wish they would go back to the old cornerstone. It was so much better.

I’m guessing this is more widespread since they haven’t answered yet… usually their support has been top notch, replies within a couple hours. For what it’s worth, I’ve just been building my new pages with Visual Composer to at least get them live while Theme.co figures this one out.

For Support: I also tried disabling ModSecurity (in cPanel) for the domain, still didn’t make a difference

Support - I had my host look for any errors in the Apache log, not sure if this is helpful or not:

Hi There,

We’re sorry you are having this issue. Yes I can see the issue and thank you for detailed information of what you have done so far. Upon checking, you have updated Cornerstone but X theme is not. Those 2 should be updated simultaneously. Please also update X theme and then let’s check again after that.

@mchll9898 and @edieberg, after doing basic troubleshooting and the issue persists, please do open a new thread. Share you credentials there on a secure note so we can investigate. You might have different setup. On your post, state the troubleshooting step that you have done already to avoid more back and forth. It is important not to share your credentials here because it is visible to the original poster. Thank you.

Thanks Lely! Wow I feel incredibly stupid haha! Updating the theme fixed it, now my pages are showing the previews and all my edits are showing up on the site after saving.

Question - if Cornerstone and X have to both be up to date, why not lump Cornerstone into X theme like you do with Pro, instead of having a separate plugin?

Glad this is now sorted out for you Matt.

Cornerstone can be installed as a standalone plugin. It comes free when you buy X theme but if you have another theme and just want the Cornerstone builder, it can be bought separately.
