Hi There,
Thank you for writing in, is this only happening to specific page? What page? I was able to add and saved a section on your about page. Please clarify how we can replicate the issue.
Cheers!
On all the pages that were created with Cornerstone.
Hi There,
I tried to save a page and it is working. I have edited this page: http://gene17kayaking.com/about/#sthash.XE2zI4Sd.dpbs
I have added the extra 2 dot at the end of this text and it saves and work.
Then I created a draft page for another test and it works there too. See this: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbQFVVIq00
Still why can I not save the front page? I have changed browsers, as may be a compatibility matter. The same outcome. I have killed several of my tabs, to just run a single tab to ensure I am not using too much local and remote memory, and still the same outcome.
I have upped the WP Max Memory in the wp-config file too: 768M
When I try to save the page, the green progress bar goes quickly to almost the end within 5 seconds, a congrats prompt comes, but the progress bar never completes, and as such the save button is greyed out.
Please try to edit and save the front page and let me know?
Success on editing other pages, but not the front page. When the page loads, there is a warning prompt about the preview loading slowly, as some script conflict. This prompt does not occur on any other page when editing with Cornerstone.
Hi,
Can you try recreating your homepage into a new page adding bits by bits and checking if cornerstone is saving.
There could be some elements or a character that causing the issue.
Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Built a simple page, and no luck. Page would not preview or save.
Hi There,
I have investigated this issue further. It seems that your server load is also a factor for this and it could be related to server configurations as well.
I have created a test page (refer secure note) and also created an error log so that it will record all the errors when you perform certain actions in your site. So far I was able to create a Cornerstone test page, preview elements and save the changes.
Is it possible to change your PHP version through your hosting control panel? If so, try switching to PHP 7.1.x which is the latest. Also increase your PHP Max Script Execute Time to 300. Then work on the page, save the changes and head over to your WordPress Dashboard section and check the PHP error log on top.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
The Cornerstone update appears to of solve this issue, thank God.
Glad it works for you now
