Cornerstone not opening up

I have been trying to edit a page through cornerstone and when I click on the CS tab it tries to load but then redirects to the text editor and cs never opens. There is no wheel spinning, it just doesn’t get that far. It does this with all pages.
I have updated CS and X to most recent versions, deactivated all plugins except x and cornerstone, cleared cache, logged out and back in… I can’t think what else to do.

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you for writing in, is this happening to specific page only? What page.

I was able to open a couple pages on Cornerstone with no issue. Please clarify and please clear your browser’s cache.

OK, so that helps to know that it isn’t the site that is busted, just my experience of it!

The problem is happening on every page on my site. I have put a video below to show you what happens. In the video I know there’s a Rocket notification saying to clear the cache. I had done that yesterday when there was a problem but the cs editor still didn’t open. I made some site changes and hadn’t cleared the cache again. Since making the video I did clear the cache again and it still isn’t opening the editor.

I have tried accessing the cs editor using 2 different internet connections as well and the same problem on both.

I tried editing the pages on my end and it seems to be working fine. I also tried editing the page shown in the video and that seems working fine too. I am sharing screencast, please take a look.

It’s difficult for us to troubleshoot as the problem is not occuring on our end. This might be a system specific problem. Can you please try editing from a different computer and see how it goes? If it works on a different computer then issue is specific to the computer you are using. You can try using system cleaner softwares like ccleaner and see how it goes. Please note that using software like ccleaner will remove all saved logins, sessions, histories in all browsers. https://www.ccleaner.com/
