Cornerstone not loading when essential grid and the grid are active

Hi, when I have both “Essential Grid” and “The Grid” plugins activated on swingeducation.com I’m not able to load Cornerstone. I’m seeing an HTTP 500 error.

When I deactivate “The Grid”, Cornerstone loads fine. I’d really like to use both plugins at the same time. Please advise.

Thanks for asking.

I installed and activated Essential Grid and The Grid plugin on my local setup X Theme setup and Cornerstone is working fine. In that regards I don’t think it’s a bug or compatibility issues. However, since you are facing the problem of Cornerstone not loading when Essential Grid and The Gird is active, please try out following solution:

1. Please make sure you are using latest version of X Theme and Cornerstone. As of today the latest version of Cornerstone and X Theme is 3.1.6 and 6.1.6 respectively.
2. Please make sure you are using the compatible version of Essential Grid and The Grid plugin. As of today the compatible version of Essential Grid and The Grid is 2.2.4.2 and 2.6.56 respectively.
3. Please make sure you are using latest version of WordPress. As of today the latest version of WordPress is 4.9.7.

I am having the same problem. I use The Grid. I just deactivated it and it then prompted me to update. But even after I did update it, Cornerstone isn’t showing up at all as an editing option. I definitely have the latest versions of X, WordPress, and Cornerstone.

X Theme, WordPress, Essential Grid, The Grid, and Cornerstone are all updated. Still having issue loading Cornerstone when both grid plugins are activated.

Hey @Web_Services,

I experienced the issue in your site. However, this does not happen on my test site with both Essential Grid and The Grid plugins installed so this might be server and/or WordPress setup related.

HTTP 500 error is usually caused by incorrect WordPress files and folders permissions. Please check if you have correct permissions. Here’s a guide.

If this does not help, please copy your site to a staging or test server and give us WordPress admin and FTP access of the staging site. This is because we need deactivate third party plugins and try reinstalling things in order to find the root cause of the issue. This might result in significant downtime if we’ll do this in your live site.
