Cornerstone not loading on a fresh Wordpress install

Hi,
We’ve been using X Theme for developing various webistes.

On a fresh Wordpress account, we installed the X Theme as usual.

Problem:

  • In the Pages section, clicking a newly created page with “Edith with cornerstone” result in a spinning square icon.

Info

  • The website is brand new with no content.
  • No other plugins are installed
  • We added one page to test Cornerstone.
  • Latest updates were done for Wordpress/X theme/Cornerstone
  • No cloudflare installed
  • Clicking 'X, ‘Launch’ from the Wordpress top menu will start X. Nothing happens when clicking ‘Options’ or ‘Content’ but ‘Options’ loads correctyl
  • The wp-config.php update for max memory was done
  • Tried with different browsers including incognito mode with Chrome
  • Lastly, I reinstalled wordpress from scratch but still the same problem.

Hey,

Thanks for using our theme.

You need to increase your PHP memory limit and check if there are any plugin conflict disabling all of them.

If the issue persists, share with us your WP credentials and the website link in a secure note.

Hi There,

Upon checking, I see that you’re running PHP v5.4.45 on your server. Can you please ask your hosting provider to update your PHP version to at least v5.6.x or later and see if that helps.

Also increase your PHP Max Script Execute Time to 300.

Hi,

Thank you for your input, we’ve changed the PHP to v.5.6 and everything is back to normal when loading Cornerstone.
