Cornerstone not loading after update

Hi Mark,

Glad to hear that! One note I would make regarding auto-optimize. As auto optimize minifies the CSS and HTML of the website. It’s important to note that X and Cornerstone already serve minified CSS and re-minifying CSS will break the output of the theme and Cornerstone.

Thanks!

Hi,

I contacted Comet Cache support and they have told me that there is an issue with their software and Cornerstone currently and that it is being looked at.

For now if I need to access Cornerstone I just need to turn my cache off before running it.

Mark

Something major has changed on my site and now everything is broken :frowning:

I have disabled comet cache and auto-optimise but still everything is broken. Please can you help me to sort this out, login details are included in secure note.

I have tried rolling my site back to before I did the X and cornerstone updates and everything is till broken. I am now not going to do anything until I here back from you as whatever I try it seems not to help. :frowning:

Please help me to sort this out.

Hi There,

Your page looks good.

Please clean your browser cache and try again.

Unfortunately we cannot provide support for third party plugins. You will need to resolve this with the plugin developer or investigate yourself.

Thank you for understanding.

Hi,

I cleared my cache and also tried it on various browsers and it was still broken. I have rolled it back a bit further and all is fine again now.

I have now removed Auto-optimise and will set about trying to update to the latest X over the next few days. I think hopefully the problem was the Auto-optimise plugin.

Thanks for your help.

Mark

You’re welcome!

Hi,

I have now successfully updated my site to the latest X and cornerstone and the site all appears to be as it was previously

Cornerstone is now loading correctly but I have noticed a problem. When I try to save any changes I get the green bar across the screen but the changes are not actually saved. Please can you take another look and let me know what the problem is now. I am hoping I am nearly at the end of sorting this update out.

Regards,

Mark

Hi there,

Would you mind providing your FTP login credentials as well? There is an internal error upon loading the endpoint, then when saved, the endpoint response is this

{"success":false,"data":{"message":"No setting data recieved"}}

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for your help. Here is an FTP account to that site.

Mark

Hi there,

Your cornerstone appears to be updated, but not all files, so I went ahead and re-installed it. It’s now loading without internal error and it’s now saving.

Thanks!

HI,

I can report that everything is working just great now, thanks for your help.

Mark

You’re most welcome!
