Cornerstone not launching for my site

I have updated wordpress, x-theme and Cornerstone recently. Now cornerstone won’t launch i just get the spinning circle in the middle of the page see image below. I can see there are others with similar issues, but no obvious fix for my setup.

I have tried deactivating all plug ins, and that made no difference.

Please can you help

Can you try updating to version 3.1.3? Let us know if this makes a difference. A fix was included that resolves an issue with older PHP versions.

Thanks

I just went to upgrade to 3.1.3, but it appears that is the version my site is already running? Maybe i am missing something, as that is not what you are seeing.

Can you provide login credentials (WordPress admin and FTP) in a secure note? I could take a closer look for you. It might be something else altogether.

details added above thanks

Hi, do you guys have any further thoughts on this, i still cant get in and need to make some changes thanks

Hi @insightfuledge,

Unfortunately, I can’t check it. Looks like you have custom login URL as I can’t access it through /wp-admin/ nor wp-login.php.

Please provide the login URL, and for the meantime, please re-install your theme and cornerstone.

Thanks!

Thanks Rad, here you go

Hi There @insightfuledge

Upon checking, I see that you’re running PHP v5.3.3 on your server which should be the cause of this issue. I suggest you to update your PHP version to at least v5.6.x or later to avoid incompatibility issues.

Some web hosting providers allows to change PHP version through their web hosting control panel. If you don’t have such option, you can directly contact your hosting provider.

Also follow our memory increase guide here and try updating your memory limit as well.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi There, thank you for the advice, i have contacted my hosting provider and they do not offer the option to upgrade at the moment, they are ‘looking into it’ so i do not know when that will be. Is there anything you can do to patch this in the mean time so i can continue to use cornerstone?

Thanks

Hello @insightfuledge,

Thanks for updating the thread.

I re-checked the admin section of see version of PHP you are using and can see that as of today you are running PHP v5.3.3. Unfortunately as of now your only option is to upgrade PHP to at-least version 5.6 or latter as WordPress itself require PHP version 5.6.

Please take a look at the WordPress requirement docs. https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/

Thanks.
