Cornerstone not installed on initial install

Hello I just installed the X theme and Cornerstone isn’t installing saying could not create directory.

Could not create directory means there is some issue with file permission on your hosting server. I suggest you to please take a look at following articles to fix the problem:

I followed those instructions and it was still unable to install. I tried a manual install and it did not install. I then uninstalled the theme X and did a clean install and it would not install Cornerstone. It still says it can’t create a directory.

Please update the secure note with your FTP Host/User/Pass so we can access what files/folders to update file permissions in.

Hi there,

It’s because your plugins folder is missing and renamed to plugins11. I went ahead and fixed it and cornerstone is also installed.
