Cornerstone not allowing Recipe Rich Pins on Pinterest

Hello all,

I’m having trouble with any of my recipes built in WP Recipe Maker not showing up in Pinterest as recipe rich pins. If I post the same recipe via the standard Gutenberg builder it comes up just fine. Something in Cornerstone is preventing Pinterest (and therefor probably Google, etc.) from reading the recipe metadata. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Devin

Hey Devin,

Our developers might be interested to know if Cornerstone is causing the issue so we need you first to copy your live site to a staging server so we can investigate without risk of breaking your site or disrupting your live site’s operation.

After that, please give us the following info in a Secure Note.

  • URL of the page where you added a recipe using Gutenberg
  • URL of the page where you added a recipe using Cornerstone
  • Staging WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thanks.

Updated with requested info.

Hey Devin,

Thanks for setting up the staging site. I see that you’ve added the recipe shortcode in a Content Area element. Would you mind try adding the shortcode in a Classic Text element and see if it works.

Also, please do the basic troubleshooting procedures mentioned in our Common Issues article here: https://theme.co/docs/common-issues. That’s to ensure that the conflict is only with Recipe Rich Pins plugin and Cornerstone.

And by the way, please just note that though we’re interested to know if the issue is coming from Cornerstone, we do not guarantee a fix for any 3rd party plugin conflict.

Thanks.

Utilizing the Classic Text element seems to work. Thank you.

Hey Devin,

Extra tags might have added with your shortcode which could be preventing the shortcode to work. We’re glad the Text element worked for you. Thank you for sharing with us.

Cheers!
