Cornerstone live preview not working on Chromebook

I am having trouble getting cornerstone to work on a new google chromebook. Cornerstone will load when using Firefox or Chrome on a different computer.

The error message reads something like “The preview could not load, this is likely due to a plug-in compatibility issue or aggressive cacheing”

I have tested for plug-in issues by turning them all off, still does not work. I have tried clearing related caches (as far as I understand how) and it doesn’t work either.

Hi Nicholas,

Thanks for writing in! Cornerstone is built to run independently on any browser, regardless of operating system.

Could you please try switching to Incognito mode and re-test your issue again. You can follow this resource on how to use Incognito mode on Chrome (https://www.lifewire.com/incognito-mode-google-chrome-4103635).

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi,

I tried using incognito mode and it still gave me the same error message:

“The preview was unresponsive after loading. This is most often related to a plugin conflict or aggressive page cacheing.”

All plugins besides cornerstone are still turned off.

Hello @nkripowicz,

Thanks for asking.

Can you please confirm if your Chromebook is touch enabled? Does your Chromebook comes with Touch screen?

As of now Cornerstone does not work on hybrid devices. Along with that please make sure to disable browser extensions and see how it goes. Though it’s there in our feature request list and our developers are looking into the matter. That being said, please note that Cornerstone works best on Google Chrome browser.

Thanks.
