Cornerstone keeps failing to save, deleting my CSS, and giving 502 errors

I can’t tell exactly how many of these issues are on my host to blame (EasyWP), but Cornerstone has become nearly unusuable.

My homepage is rather large, and it has become very frequently failing to save. I have to try saving my edits three to ten times for one of them to finally work, and this last time it just wouldn’t save no matter what. I cleared my browser data, changed my browser altogether and increased the PHP memory limit from 128M to 256M.

Smaller pages successfully save instantly, the homepage is the only one giving me trouble. And every time I get the save failure error there’s a big chance that all markup in the CSS tab will disappear from the server side. This means that although the CSS code is still visible in the page editing window in my browser, it’s no longer on the site (upon reloading the main page) and reloading the editor will return it without any of the CSS (a completely blank CSS section). I would have to restore an older version of the page when that happens. However, as of today, most times I try restoring an older version I get a 502 error.

Hey Sinan,

When going to wp-admin of your site, I’m redirected to a page with audio and not a login form. Please provide the URL where we can log in.

Thanks.

That’s the Under Construction page. You may bypass it with the key icon in the bottom right corner and typing in the password that I already mentioned in the secure note.

Hello Sinan,

When I logged in and edit your homepage, there are JS errors on the page. This issue could also be caused by a plugin conflict, amongst other things. Please check out this troubleshooting article here and follow the instructions for the following sections (where appropriate):

Testing for Plugin Conflict
Child Theme
CSS/JS Customization

If nothing is else, please allow us to disable all plugins so that we can investigate further.

Thank you.

Hello, Ruenel. I tried the recommended troubleshooting steps in order and didn’t skip any. Everything is now at the bare minimum; all plugins are off and I switched to a default WP theme and increased the memory limit to 512M. The console doesn’t report any errors as far as I can tell. However, I still get a 502 Bad Gateway error when I interact with the main page from the back end, sometimes when I try to restore an older version and sometimes just when I click on it in the pages menu.

Hey Sinan,

It looks like you have changed the credentials. I couldn’t log in. Please give us updated credentials.

Thanks.

That was not intended. Try again now

Hey Sinan,

I can’t log in still.

Thanks.

So far, this seems to be a problem from my host’s side. We’ve been working on it and got it to go away for now. Thank you for the help.

Hi Sinan,
