Cornerstone is very slow and almost all the time loading

Dear reader,

I have a problem with Cornerstone. The elements that I add are most of the time loading. So i can’t adjust with the live preview. I never had this before and it is really annoying. I don’t have third party plugins and I have the most recent version of Theme X, Cornerstone and Wordpress. Can somebody please help me?!

Hi melvin, do you have cloudflare installed, by any chance?

also, If you right click anywhere and select “inspect” (chrome, i believe it’s called java console on firefox) on your screen while having this issue you’ll see it throws some errors, it will likely tell you WHERE is the error coming from. in the meantime please provide the staff with your hosting environment details (name of the hosting, if it runs on windows or linux. if it uses apache or nginx, etc).

i’m not a support guy, just a long-time customer and i’m just trying to help you get a fast and accurate reply so you save some time :wink:

Thank you @elpanda13 and @paul.r for both your help, but it is really hard for me to remove these errors. In the Kokoblog, I can’t find the Web.config file. to replace the code for the tiff and woff files. (Sorry i’m a amateur) Is it maybe possible to give my FTP data or a other way that you can help me further with removing these errors please?! Because I didn’t had problems with the other websites that i built with cornerstone and this is really frustrating!

Hello There,

Thanks for providing the information. Regretfully we cannot login to your FTP because the IP is not allowed. We also recommend that you increase your memory allocated to PHP. To increase it, please edit your wp-config.php file and insert these lines:

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

You can add it before the line
/*That's all, stop editing! Happy Blogging. */

Hello There,

I’ve tested editing some of the pages in Cornerstone and I do not have encounter any issues.It loads just a few seconds. Could you please provide the url of the page where in it would take several moments for Cornerstone to load?

I have this problem with every page that I have and want to edit with cornerstone.

For an example:

Is there any chance that you could temporarily disable IP filtering so that we can log in to your ftp? We want to investigate further.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hi @RueNel,

I can’t disable IP Filtering, but I can add IP adresses @ my hosting account. Can you give your IP adress, so that i can add this @ my account and check if your IP adress is blocked.

I am sorry but our staff is located around the globe and most of the ISPs provide dynamic IPs

If could disable it temporarily that would be great.
