Cornerstone is unable to activate?

at the top of the page it says: “You’re almost ready to start using X. Please click here to activate the required Cornerstone plugin.”

when i go to plugins and hit activate it says:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Warning: require_once(includes/boot.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/eyephoto/domains/tleyewear.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/cornerstone.php on line 30

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘includes/boot.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/alt/php73/usr/share/pear’) in /home/eyephoto/domains/tleyewear.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/cornerstone.php on line 30

please advise, i do think i recall server host mentioning that perhaps directory structure may have been adjusted?

Thanks.

Hi @eyephoto,

Please kindly go to the root folder of your WordPress installation via FTP client and go to:

/wp-content/plugins/

And please delete the folder named cornerstone. That will make sure the Cornerstone plugin is deleted. Then please go to X > Validation and wait for few seconds and then go to WordPress Dashboard > Plugins and you will see the Cornerstone plugin again and you can activate it and this time it will work.

kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case if you still have problems.

Thank you.

Thank you, that did indeed solve the problem! fantastic!

You’re welcome!
We’re glad @Christopher were able to help you out.
