You install your theme incorrectly, you must install it directly to /wp-content/themes/ so the resulting folder is /wp-content/themes/x/. Instead, you installed it directly to /wp-content/themes/x/ which results to /wp-content/themes/x/x/. Do not upload your X theme within a folder, it must be installed and overwrite the existing /x/ folder.
That should fix the cornerstone license issue.
